• Eighteen years designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting business application software and creating system and user documentation in both mainframe and client/server environments.
• Two years of part-time freelance web design, search engine optimization, web hosting, and site optimization for faster download speed and standards compliance.
• Redesigned 3 large web sites for improved visual appearance, structure, usability, and navigation resulting in faster download speeds, easier maintainability, forward compatibility, and search engine placement optimization. This has helped to increase orders and sales by almost 80% in only six months.
• Redesigned CD website and reorganized site structure to save over 80% disk space. This resulted in faster CD generation, easier site maintenance, and better user navigation, thus saving maintenance and production costs.
• Designed automated Perl process to create and maintain websites for AMH dealers. It determines which pages need to be added, updated or removed, then creates all pages needed, updates all pages that have links to the dealer pages, and then automatically uploads them to the web server and removes ones no longer needed.
• Assisted in system conversion from a DOS/VSE mainframe to a RIMS system in a Unix and PC environment, including such health insurance-related systems as eligibility, billing, claims, and finance. This resulted in Y2K compliance, automation of claims entry and adjudication, and increased system efficiency and productivity.
• Assisted in the design, implementation, migration and maintenance of new data acceptance, cash receipts, bank reconciliation, and IRS 1099 systems resulting in increased functionality of the RIMS system after conversion.
• Other applications have included maintenance of billing, customer, order, bill-of-materials, raw materials, product, customer, vendor, inventory, and routing systems.
